Quality Assurance Analyst - Montréal, Canada - Intelcom

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand software requirements and specifications.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
- Execute manual and automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, usability, and security.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and anomalies, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that defects are fixed, and new features are integrated seamlessly.
- Participate in design and code reviews to provide input from a quality perspective.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover potential issues that might not be covered by existing test cases.
- Continuously improve QA processes, methodologies, and documentation standards.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 3 to 5 years of related work experience
- Proven experience in software quality assurance, including manual and automated testing.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Familiarity with test management tools and issue tracking systems.
- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools is a plus.
- Solid analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced, teamoriented environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Strong selfmotivation and a proactive approach to tasks and challenges.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) and scripting for test automation.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications.
