Over the past 18 months we have been assembling a world-class team, rebuilding future collections and want YOU to join our team as Product Line leader for riding gear and protective gear.


With BRP's announcement of Can-Am returning to two-wheels in 2024, the Can-Am lineup is growing, and the Apparel and Riding Gear team is hard at work on ambitious new product lines to support our ON ROAD and OFF-ROAD riders.

We are seeking a Product Line Lead with riding gear experience in the North American, European or both powersports markets.


The PLL - Motorcycle Riding Gear is accountable for leading product strategy to meet consumer needs and achieve business goals for BRP apparel and protective gear.

This position combines cross-functionally with marketing, design, development, sourcing, materials, sales, e-com, and planning teams to achieve both seasonal and long-term business growth goals.

We are looking for someone who is results-driven and has an entrepreneurial attitude, and an instinct to identify and champion market and consumer opportunities.

You will be passionate about powersports and especially Offroad and motorcycle riding. You are a motivational leader that can contribute to a positive, collaborative, high-performance work environment.


YOU'LL HA VE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Continue your education and develop proficiency for various on-road and off-road segments.
dedicate part of your time TO user observation and seeking insight, Thanks to a user centric approach.
Create business plans based on financial and brands' objectives and consumer insights.
Determine features, styles, and categories to meet growth and margin objectives for assigned product lines.
Meet with other Product Managers, Product Line Leaders, and Coordinators to coordinate development.
Create the category plan with targeted new and existing styles, detailing colour, price, and other specs.

Collaborate with Designers, Advanced Design and members of Marketing, Sales, Production and Planning to identify product concepts or product enhancements for semi-annual line releases.

Consider design, materials, functionality, appearance, marketability, and price points, and create line and line segmentation plans.
Follow design and development process for new and revised garments.

Create Product Briefs to provide information for the Design and Product Development team on positioning, aesthetic and fabric direction, functionality, and price targets.

Critique and modifies design elements, ensuring adherence to timelines.
Support Sales and Marketing on product and brand initiatives. Responsible for product information that goes in-store, in printed materials and onto the web site.
Develop and conduct concept meetings to introduce and get buy-in on the product line.

Provide details on all aspects of the product to employees each season:
business plan, design, and sample presentation.
Drive competitive landscape analysis to ensure seasonal and long-term product strategies are aligned with market and consumer trends.
Align seasonal merchandising/product line strategy with the current and long-term vision of the brand and product.
Achieve increased style/sku productivity metrics while optimizing for category revenue and growth initiatives.

Identify opportunities to drive margin improvement and works closely with sourcing and technical design to ensure seasonal and long-term margin targets are achieved.

Leverage selling data and other inputs to optimize collection offering and drive efficiency within the supply chain.
Closely monitor the industry landscape and sell-through data to understand and predict trends in the business. Uses understanding of competitor market positions to take advantages of opportunities and minimize risk to the business.
Lead presentations to sales teams and major retailers. Solicit feedback to incorporate into future product development.

THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
A university degree or four-year college diploma in merchandising, product lead, product manager or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in merchandising/product management in the powersports segment.
Practical knowledge of related functions such as product development, design, têxtiles, production, sales, and marketing.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and
