We are currently searching for a
Telehandler Operator to work on sites across Vancouver.

The Position
Telehandler Operators are part of a construction team and is used to move loads to and from places unreachable for a conventional forklift

Duties and responsibilities

Operate the telehandler and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
Perform daily maintenance, cleaning and safety checks of equipment
Conduct preoperational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill equipment as necessary
Duties are to facilitate safe, efficient, accurate, and timely receiving, staging, and loading of structural building components.
Operate the equipment smoothly, safely and with attachments (if applicable).
Operate other heavy equipment and perform other general construction labour related duties as required.
Assist other trades around site as needed
Perform other related general labour duties as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 1year experience
A strong sense of health and safety on site
Excellent hand, eye and foot coordination
Have a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
Valid Telehandler Ticket
Valid Driver's License is an asset
Demonstrates a great attitude towards work and team

Working Conditions

Safety Sensitive
Work outdoors on construction sites
Work closely with other equipment operators and ground crew
Personal protection equipment (PPE) as required

Physical requirements

May be required to lift a minimum of 25lbs on occasion
