Accounts Payable Duties:


  • Responsible for full cycle AP processing including recording all vendor invoices, verifying coding, and issuing payments.
  • Ensure proper payment to all vendors in a timely manner.
  • Record preauthorized bank payments and deposits.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding outstanding invoices, address changes, statement, and invoice errors, etc.
  • Ensure proper recording of invoices related to fixed assets.
  • This position will work in conjunction with another AP/AR Clerk where they are both crosstrained in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Accounts Receivable Duties:


  • Responsible for full cycle AR processing including customer billing, issuing statements, and processing payments
  • Analyze past due accounts and coordinate collection efforts with the Director of Care
  • Monitor accounts for nonpayments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • This position will work in conjunction with another AP/AR Clerk where they are both crosstrained in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

General Duties:


  • Reconcile accounts as assigned.
  • Set up and maintain account files and other financial records.
  • Review invoices and statements to ensure all information is accurate and complete.
  • Prepare monthly reports and summaries.
  • Maintain confidentiality about all information and ensure proper storage of records.
  • Provide clerical duties such as filing, proper record storage, etc.
  • Communicate with management and staff for the purpose of obtaining and providing payable and receivable information.
  • Complete necessary reports for proper audit trail
  • Complete other jobrelated tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE POSITION & ORGANIZATION

  • Qualified applicants would have a Grade 12 Diploma, completion of a recognized Accounting course, and a minimum of one year experience or a recent graduate with a recognized Accounting Diploma.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to multitask and work under time constraints.
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting practices and principles.
  • Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
  • Good interpersonal skills in communication and human relations
  • Superior analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Good organizational and stress management skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
