Primary Objective of the Position:


The successful applicant will be responsible for the cost-effective, service-orientated operational oversite of a high-volume 3PL Air Gateway operation that is experiencing rapid growth.

The Manager, Operations (E-commerce), is a highly visible leadership role responsible for the direction, operation, compliance, and KPI results for a designated operation.

The incumbent will serve as a primary customer interface for local leadership decisions and is the Champion of overseeing local continuous improvement activities.


Essential Position Functions:


  • Lead and develop your own teams of effective Ecommerce Leadership and critical role positions that will oversee multiple shifts of highly effective frontline Associates in a warehouse environment.
  • Accountable for overseeing staffing, retention, employee engagement and development of people for the operation in his/her scope of responsibility.
  • Ensures that procedures exist at all sites to guarantee client service, productivity, as well as facilities and equipment maintenance.
  • Implement and follow Customer 3PL process, procedures and standard work.
  • Sets goals to provide continuous improvement for assigned site.
  • Responsible for the overall safety and security of assigned operations and staff while maintaining positive statistics and actively supports and oversee site safety programs and committees for the operation.
  • Work in conjunction with company and client safety resources to ensure best practices are in place, maintained, and updated as needed to meet compliance standards with all relevant regulatory agencies and organizations.
  • Develops teams to achieve Customer and company objectives for the operation.
  • Trains and educates Leadership Teams to ensure that service requirements are met and ultimately exceeded.
  • Actively supports and practices mentoring, succession planning, and management development activities at the site level.
  • Acts as site level champion of client relationship management.
  • Implements and monitors Customer KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for assigned operation.
  • Coordinates and leads business reviews with appropriate client and company representatives for each reporting operation.
  • Communicates the Customer mission, vision, and core values to motivate direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma, Post-Secondary education in a related field or program is preferred.
  • Strong people skills with at least 5 year of operationsrelated Leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution or similar environment.
  • Good understanding of scanning and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • The ability to develop effective relationships, provide leadership, and integrate diverse organizations and individuals toward unifying objectives is critical.
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours when required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be detailoriented and have good organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's license.
