SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Lead Scheduling Coordinator, the Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for managing scheduling processes, interpreting HEU and BCNU contracts, tracking employee information, and maintaining files.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Training
- Two years' experience in a similar role or equivalent education and training.
- Previous experience using Scheduling Software (COMVIDA) is preferred.
- Proficient in computer skills such as MS Excel, Word, Teams.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is an asset.
- Familiarity with BCNU and HEU contracts is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with diverse individuals.

SCHEDULING KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure compliance with HEU and BCNU Collective Agreement.
- Provide support for internal positions and job postings in coordination with HR.
- Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Manage staff scheduling for union and non-union employees at various locations.
- Assist in developing new rotations as needed.
- Handle vacation planning and shift scheduling.
- Manage shift exchanges and overtime according to policies.
- Verify and correct payroll information as needed.
- Update attendance logs and employee availability.
- Notify employees of schedule changes and requests status.
- Ensure collective agreement rules are followed and advise HR on noncompliance.
- Secure scheduling and employee data in compliance with legislation.
- Provide training on the scheduling software and additional training as necessary.
- Perform other assigned duties.

- 8-hour shifts
- Day and evening shifts
- On-call availability
