As an Accounting Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Accounts Payable: Review vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and process payments in a timely manner. Ensure proper authorization and documentation for all payables. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger by accurately recording financial transactions. Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain supporting documentation.
- Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies. Verify receipts and supporting documentation, reconcile expenses, and facilitate reimbursement.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements on a regular basis, identifying and resolving any discrepancies. Investigate and follow up on outstanding items and ensure accuracy of cash balances.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and schedules as required. Support monthend and yearend closing activities, including accruals and adjusting entries.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain organized and uptodate financial records and documentation. Ensure proper filing and archival of accounting documents for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Adhere to established controls and guidelines to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including handling correspondence, filing, and assisting with special projects as assigned.
- Financial Reporting Support: Collaborate with the accounting team to provide necessary information and support for financial reporting and monthend/yearend closing activities.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function. Implement efficient procedures and workflows to enhance accuracy, effectiveness, and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Accounting diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as an Accounting Analyst or similar role.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
