Job Title:
Shipping and Receiving


Reports to:
Operations Manager


Job Purpose Summary:
Responsible for the flow of materials and external services to meet production demands and on time customer delivery


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


  • Review customer releases and create a daily Shipping schedule in Plex ERP system
  • Review the Shipping schedule, pick and review the order from Inventory to ensure stock rotation and FIFO
  • Prepares shipments based on customer releases and pick lists and arrange logistics as needed
  • Prepares products for subcontracting and coordinate with suppliers for on time delivery
  • Prepares bills of lading, pack lists against customer releases or picklists
  • Checks items to be shipped against bills of lading to ascertain that quantities and destination is correct and that items are securely packed
  • Receives and unloads incoming materials, process parts and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment and enter receipt in Plex ERP system
  • Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
  • Processes supplier returns and return shipments from customers
  • Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items to enter the receipt in Plex ERP system
  • Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents
  • Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments and forward the documentation to accounting for further processing
  • Comply with the Company's 5S procedures by contributing to continuous improvement, productivity, quality, cost reduction, safety and housekeeping
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures and processes established for the Company's Shipping and Receiving department
  • Responsibilities as outlined in Accurate's Quality Management System per SOP40003, Core Training Matrix (roles and responsibilities to satisfy IATF 16949)
  • Assume other responsibilities and tasks as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the Company

Expectations:


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • A minimum of two years' experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment required
  • Knowledge of commercial shipping methods and procedures
  • Intermediate understanding of English language (oral and written)
  • Intermediate Computer skills
  • Must be physically capable of performing work required
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to learn on the job, flexible with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a fastpaced environment with frequently changing dynamics
  • Must possess a valid Driver's license
