Job Title:
Shipping and Receiving

Reports to:
Operations Manager

Job Purpose Summary:
Responsible for the flow of materials and external services to meet production demands and on time customer delivery

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Review customer releases and create a daily Shipping schedule in Plex ERP system
Review the Shipping schedule, pick and review the order from Inventory to ensure stock rotation and FIFO
Prepares shipments based on customer releases and pick lists and arrange logistics as needed
Prepares products for subcontracting and coordinate with suppliers for on time delivery
Prepares bills of lading, pack lists against customer releases or picklists
Checks items to be shipped against bills of lading to ascertain that quantities and destination is correct and that items are securely packed
Receives and unloads incoming materials, process parts and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment and enter receipt in Plex ERP system
Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
Processes supplier returns and return shipments from customers
Delivers items to requisitioning departments and obtains authorized signatures for accepted items to enter the receipt in Plex ERP system
Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents
Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments and forward the documentation to accounting for further processing
Comply with the Company's 5S procedures by contributing to continuous improvement, productivity, quality, cost reduction, safety and housekeeping
Adhere to all policies, procedures and processes established for the Company's Shipping and Receiving department
Responsibilities as outlined in Accurate's Quality Management System per SOP40003, Core Training Matrix (roles and responsibilities to satisfy IATF 16949)
Assume other responsibilities and tasks as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the Company

Expectations:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
A minimum of two years' experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing environment required
Knowledge of commercial shipping methods and procedures
Intermediate understanding of English language (oral and written)
Intermediate Computer skills
Must be physically capable of performing work required
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Willingness to learn on the job, flexible with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a fastpaced environment with frequently changing dynamics
Must possess a valid Driver's license
