Technical Sales Support - Toronto


Ahearn & Soper a 140-year-old High Tech company has a position open for a Sales Support Technician to assist Sales Representatives in the sale of Supply Chain Technology and Systems.


Responsibilities:


  • Product lines include Card Printers, Thermal Printers, Mobile Printers, Handheld Scanners, Handheld Terminals, Wi-Fi Networks, and various Bar Code Software packages.
  • Supplier relationships, business planning, price negotiations, and organization of staff training
  • Customer interaction including needs assessment, demonstrations, and recommendations
  • Working with Salespeople with site visits, quoting, and consultation
  • Implementation of systems including specifications, tolerances, configurations, installations, or outsourcing
  • Postsales support, system upgrades, and trouble shooting
  • Supporting Service Technicians

Requirements:


  • College or University Degree, Diploma or Certificate in related fields
  • Excellent technical and problemsolving skills
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills to define and resolve customer needs
  • Ability to communicate openly and confidently
  • Work independently with good time management and organizational skills
  • Maintain excellent customer, supplier, and coworker relationships
  • Reliable vehicle along with a clean driving record
Assets

  • Experience with related technologies, suppliers, or customers
  • Experience with Barcode systems or the Supply Chain Industry
  • Experience in design of Bar Code label solutions
  • Certifications in related fields.
Product training will be provided.
