JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Fabricator to join our growing team.

DUTIES:

Work cooperatively as part of the maintenance team
Complete highquality fabrication and welding tasks
Perform preventive maintenance tasks as requested
Perform daily equipment inspection reports
Perform basic mechanical maintenance tasks
Assist maintenance team in managing the inventory of spare tools and equipment
Building maintenance tasks
Rotate between day/evening shift, and overtime as required
Comply with JELD-WEN EH&S requirements and legal requirements including policies, standards, rules, and programs
Any other duties as assigned by your lead hand or manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

1 5 years welding or fabrication experience
Minimum of a grade 12 education
Welding course certificate
Ability to work independently
Ability to work outside in all weather situations
Maintain a high standard of workmanship
Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces
Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics
Ability to use power tools
Basic computer knowledge required
Ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints
Willingness to take improvement training courses, travel if required
