About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Manager, Project Management, the FMS Project Manager has responsibility for managing day to day activities of assigned capital projects within the Zone(s) of the Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA).


Responsible for the planning, coordination, and project management of assigned projects, within he NSHA, participating and supporting functional design planning, specification writing, drawing review, cost estimation and tender document coordination.

This includes overseeing design consultants and contractors and interfacing with stakeholders and clinicians to ensure projects are delivered within budget and project milestone dates and, most importantly, meeting the objectives of the project.

The FMS Project Manager may be required to act as interim Manager, Project Management to ensure continuity of service during annual leave.


About You:

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

Required minimum:

  • Professional Registered Engineer (in Nova Scotia) in a relevant Engineering discipline having 35 years infrastructure project management experience in a healthcare setting; or
  • Project Manager with 57 years of experience in a Building Infrastructure or Health Care Environment.

The following would be considered an asset:

  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.
  • Travel to other sites or throughout the province is required and must have access to a reliable vehicle.

Hours:


  • Permanent / 100% FTE / 75 Hours Biweekly
  • This position is flexible within the Northern Zone

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $49.59 Hourly
