The Project Manager plays a critical role in enabling the Product and Engineering Teams to deliver on its commitments in support of the overall product strategy at Alida.

This role works in lockstep with Product Management, Engineering, and UX to bring focus and drive the strategic product delivery process forward.


As a Project Manager you will be responsible for ensuring early scoping, planning, innovation, execution, control, and closeout of all feature development for the teams you support.

You will be hands on with the product and driving multi-team projects with strict deadlines.

You will be working with the Product and Engineering Managers to ensure prepared backlogs that are prioritized and groomed, the Engineering Team has estimated the sprint ahead, the active sprint has strong support on any impediments allowing the Engineering Teams you support to execute on deliverables effectively.


As a Project Manager, you'll have the opportunity to work with the entire product team and lead projects critical to Alida's long-term success.


Responsibilities:


  • Create necessary project schedule and planning documents, including but not limited to: effort estimates, resource requirements, and risk management plans Establish project milestones and iterations based on risk and priority analysis
  • Drive the quarterly roadmap planning processes with Product and Engineering
  • Work with other Project Managers, Product Managers, and Technical Leads to monitor progress and coordinate project and feature dependencies across teams and departments
  • Actively monitor project progress, track outstanding issues and risks, chair project meetings, follow up on action items, and provide timely project status updates to the management team
  • Assist in the creation and coordination of features across Agile scrum teams
  • Perform the role of scrum master for one or more scrum teams: facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives Coach these scrum teams to a higher level of selforganizing maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
  • Facilitate decisionmaking moments, even during difficult times, and to summarize those decisions, with rationale and assumptions, when communicating them to a wider audience
  • Continuously evolve software project management processes to ensure an efficient project life cycle
  • Coordinating across departments to ensure successful feature roll out based on planned releases

  • 3+ years of experience in a software project management role, preferably in a SaaS product company
  • Previous experience as a Scrum Master on several teams
  • Previous experience in roles related to Software Development, Releases, Maintenance and 3rd party programs
  • Postsecondary educational degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a combination of related education and experience.
