Production Coordinator

Responsible for supporting day to day operations in production department, including confirmation of orders with review of estimated vs actual values; reconcile as required by verifying system transactions and production reporting.
- REPORTS TO: _Director, Supply Chain, Planning and Logistics
RESPONSIBILITIES_
- Internal facility purchases including supporting MRO activities
- XMPie and work order preparation and coordination with prepress
- File Docket and Maintain Docket Room in good order
- Process, coordinate and communicate Change Order Notice (CON)
- Monitor and process system inventory adjustment and/or transfer
- Close WIP in collaboration with planning group for month
- Coordinates with customer service/sales and suppliers to resolve problems
- Assists with vendor followup to expedite outstanding orders to meet required deliveries and production schedules
- Manages inbound material delivery schedule and follows up with vendors to ensure on time delivery
- Coordinates printing plates with prepress for designated equipment
- Assists with report preparation, i.e. daily scheduling reports
- Assists in managing stock inventory including replenishment order processing and interbranch orders & transfers
- Assists with work order cost accounting
- Health & Safety secretary
- Labelmaking backup
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS_
- 25 production coordination experience in a manufacturing environment (printing, packaging, paper converting or business forms manufacturing ideal)
- Understanding of printing process is an asset
- Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Dynamics AX experience an asset
