As a Service Plumber, you will perform some or all of the following duties:
- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
- Install, repair and maintain commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems (eg. water line and drain line repairs; shower/tap/water closet repairs)
- Small project installs
- Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
- Attend seminars and training sessions to remain current with industry advances
- May prepare work estimates for clients
- Accept and respond to repair service calls
- Take part in the regular oncall schedule and work according to the divisional guidelines for such work
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Plumbing Trade certification
- Cross Connection ticket, preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3 years years experience as Plumber in a Service setting; experience working in commercial and industrial settings, preferred
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledgeable in hot water heating systems
- Basic knowledge of pumps and boilers
- Available for emergency outofhours duties / oncall rotation schedule
- Member of UA Local 496 or willing to join
- Valid Provincial Driver's License
- Must follow company vehicle policy
- Physical requirements include bending, lifting, pushing, pulling up to 45 lbs; ability to climb ladders; walking/standing for periods of time
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required; ability to follow instructions
- Ability to use mobile devices, tablets and related technology and programs efficiently
- Maintains a professional demeanor at all times with fellow employees and customers
