Description
Job Profile:
The Quality Inspector performs inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of materials, parts and components used in the manufacture of partially assembled or finished equipment and ensure accurate and complete documentation is maintained.
The Quality Inspector also performs and reviews measuring device history and calibration.Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of material, parts, subassemblies or finished products according to defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/ or electrical measurements
- Conduct and document inprocess audits using established standards and drawings for the sake of identifying opportunities for improvement
- Utilize Laser Tracker and 3D Scanner equipment to perform inspections and prepare reports for Engineering to review
- Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing
- Maintain all controlled document files and test records
- Participate in and support the NCR origination, investigation, and disposition processes
- Participate in and support Continuous Improvement activities
- Coordinate and perform calibration of test and measuring equipment and tools
- Establish an internal weld inspection program in line with the requirements of CGSB
- Conduct Magnetic Particle Inspections to the applicable codes and Engineering Requirements
- Conduct Visual Inspections of Welds to the requirements of W178.2 and W59

- Maintain all equipment and tools per recommended procedures

Qualifications:
- CGSB MPI Level
- CSA W178.2 VT Level 15 years of Tight Tolerance Dimensional Inspection
