    Hours: Full-time
    Shifts: Day, evening, and weekends

    Our fishery department team is essential to Metro's overall success by being responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department and creating a positive customer experience.

    Your responsibilities as a fishery manager:
    • Plan and coordinate department activities to achieve sales and profitability targets set by the director while respecting the current collective agreement
    • Ensure the store is ready to receive customers in terms of merchandise quantity, product labeling, perishable goods rotation, and missing product orders
    • Organize team work according to operational needs
    • Ensure the implementation of in-store merchandising and place orders for the department
    • Check and control inventory
    • Apply hygiene and safety standards in the sales area as well as company policies and norms

    Requirements:
    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a retail business in the relevant department
    • Management experience is a significant asset

    • Communication skills and initiative
    • Ability to plan, lead, and organize in a unionized environment
