Description

Responsibilities:

Supervise Machinists and their work, and assign duties as necessary, making sure their work runs on schedule and meets company standards for safety and quality.
Perform the machining operations, watch for problems in the production process, and check the accuracy of the finished piece against drawings using calibrated measuring tools.
Troubleshoot in plant in order to discover potential hazards or breakdown.
Stay current on machining technology by learning new techniques and learn how to operate new evaluate employee performance.
Sets up machines and equipment, Mazak, Matsuura, Haas, 35 Axis.
Requist tools & raw material required to meet production goals.
Train personnel which includes developing the method of training. Training may be "onthejob" or through written materials
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with coworkers and other departments.
Identify areas of improvement and provide solutions to problems.
Maintain a safe work environment for employees.

Required Skills and Experience:

- +10 years' machine shop operations experience with more than 5 years of supervision (or group leader) experience. Aerospace experience preferred.
