Job Summary:

The Banquet Lead is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests and clients of the Brookstreet Hotel.

The Banquet Lead will assist and oversee the setup, delivery, and completion of events and banquets, as well as manage and lead the banquet staff to ensure a successful event.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Manage the setup and execution of events and banquets, ensuring all assignments are completed. Banquet assignments include the distribution of sections for significant events, site duties, shift briefings, and other banquetrelated tasks as needed
  • Direct and oversee the team of banquet Partners, including assigning tasks to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of service and food provided to guests. Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure timing, quantity and quality of food are met.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and ensure their satisfaction by maintaining a continued presence on the floor during the events
  • Resolve issues that may arise during the event with our guests and our partners
  • Ensure all banquet staff is following safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintain records of events and banquet activities by completing the daily passoff—Internal and to other departments in the hotel
  • Monitor banquet supplies and order additional supplies when needed. Complete any administrative tasks as assigned by the banquet manager

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a hotel or catering environment (2 years)
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple tasks at once
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of food service and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Smart Serve certification, or the ability to obtain certification
  • Valid G class driver's license preferred
  • Must be physically able to lift to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for long periods
