About the Opportunity


Reporting to and in collaboration with the Health Services Manager, the Assistant Nursing Manager participates in the planning and provision of care and identifies and acts upon issues that have potential or actual impact on patient, client or resident care.

The Assistant Nursing Manager keeps the Health Service Manager aware and up to date of any significant events.

The Assistant Nursing Manager plans, co-ordinates and participates in the care of patients, clients and residents within the units and hospital.

The Assistant Nursing Manager acts as a role model and patient/client/ resident care advocate and exhibits leadership and team building and skills.

The Assistant Nursing Manager demonstrates effective communication and organizational skills and acts as a resource for all team members to ensure quality care is provided in line with the Eden Philosophy of care.

The Assistant Nursing Manager is responsible to develop and maintain a working environment that supports the delivery of high-quality effective care and caring.

The Assistant Nursing Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the clinical care delivery.


About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Registered Nurse, Baccalaureate degree in nursing or current registration in Baccalaureate program
  • Must be registered with NSCN
  • Three years' experience in nursing, with a minimum of 1 year experience in rural areas
  • Experience working in acute care and/or in longterm care facilities
  • Experience working with the Eden Model of Care preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership
  • Experience with supervising staff in a unionized/nonunionized environment
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as teambuilder and team player
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent Full-Time (100%) position, 75 Hours Bi-Weekly

Compensation and Incentives
$ $51.54 Hourly
