JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties:


  • Security analysis for securityengaged projects (properties, PCM and PD predominantly), acting
as a Subject Matter Expert related to security systems and controls- Support the development of the Asset Management Program, at a technical (systems and

hardware) levelSecurity Program, and the established standards- Focus on asset detailing and asset documentation as part of the hand over to sustainment as

projects are completed- Technical design analysis and rightsizing for NERC CIP projects, including stakeholder

engagement- Development and enhancement of Physical Security standards and guidelines

  • Support the gap analysis of our current state physical security protections against our desired
  • Perform security equipment failure analysis including but not limited to door closures, request to
exit (REX) devices, and other security devices- Responds to high profile physical and employee security incidents, as required.

  • Provides consulting services to management on a variety of issues concerning physical security
system design.- Must be prepared to travel throughout the province of BC and posses a valid BC Driver's

License.- Assist on security plan development, implementation, and assurance including security controls

and procedures.- Liaison with staff on site to promote and sustain compliance with NERC standards CIP 006 and

CIP-01- Field-based assurance checks and investigations - also includes engagement and liaison with

workers construction management, capital projects, and contractors- Ensuring security systems in stations are integrated with the Security Command Centre and

T&D System Operations


Qualifications:

***- University degree or experience in relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and

experience years progressively more responsible security investigation experience, preferably in a

corporate environment in the Electrical Utility industry- Experience on design and implementation of security system to comply with NERC CIP and

other industry standards- Experience working in a dynamic and reactive environment with the ability to juggle new

priorities in with existing priorities to ensure the most important compliance activity is delivered on
- time, including ability to delegate and attain assistance from others.
  • Experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control Program would be valuable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong relationship management as well as proven ability to effectively collaborate with and
influence stakeholders, both internal and external.- A valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.

  • Experience and proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft excel, word, outlook and
  • Must have good time management's skills and the proven ability to work in a multitask
environment.- Background and experience in electrical utilities as well as experience in conflict resolution/

violence in the workplace would be as asset.
