Russel Metals Inc. is currently seeking an individual for the position of
Plasma Table Operator in our
Red Deer, AB location.

Please note - our work environment is safety sensitive and will require the successful applicant to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug evaluation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Complete preinspection equipment reports before each shift including Saws / Cranes and or any other equipment used.
Perform all tasks safely and as directed.
Comply with all workplace policies including health and safety.
Be a team player.
Perform all tasks in a professional respectful manner.
Any other tasks that may be assigned by management.
Participate in all company directed training.
Responsible for selecting the correct material (bar and tube products) in order to saw cut customer orders as required.
Organize work to consistently meet established production and quality targets.

Education and Skills Required:

-
Previous experience on a Plasma Machine is a definite asset.

Grade 12 or equivalent.
May be required to work rotating shifts.
Ability to read, write and understand English.
Ability to operate the overhead crane / forklift.
Proficient in performing mathematical calculations with ability to read a tape measure / caliper.
Self motivated, results oriented.
