Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental team to provide high-quality patient care. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with dental procedures, sterilizing instruments, taking X-rays, and providing excellent customer service.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
  • Take digital xrays (Bitewings, PA, Panorex), Taking intraoral photos
  • Prepare and maintain patient records, including medical documentation and coding
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and postoperative care
  • Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history
  • Assist with dental lab tasks, such as pouring models and trimming impressions
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
  • Placement of Rubber Dam
  • Fabrication of temporary crowns
  • Alginate impressions and tray fabrication

Skills:


  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience using Digital radiographs and Dental Software (Cleardent)
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and coding
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Experience:


  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Proficiency in Power Practice or similar dental software
  • Knowledge of orthodontics and experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is a plus
  • Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and infection control protocols
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Pay:
$35.21-$36.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
