Description

Job Description/Essential Functions:


  • Purchase all plant maintenance parts and supplies
  • Assists in negotiating contracts and term pricing
  • Assist in the preparation of yearly budgets and budget variance analysis
  • Maintain accuracy of purchasing documents to ensure the terms and conditions of purchase are appropriate
  • Maintain just in time level of inventory for employee supplies
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors
  • Maintain MSDS and CFIA approvals for all purchases
  • Working knowledge of MP2 (preventative maintenance system)

Qualification/Requirements

  • Knowledge of maintenance parts used in manufacturing environment is essential
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in high pressure situations
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills are required (Word, Excel and Internet research skills)
  • Integrity and professionalism
  • Experience in purchasing an asset
  • Proficiency in English spoken, writing, reading and comprehension is essential.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months


Salary:
$50,000.00 per year
