Purchasing Clerk 12 Month Contract - Red Deer, Canada - Olymel
Description
Job Description/Essential Functions:
- Purchase all plant maintenance parts and supplies
- Assists in negotiating contracts and term pricing
- Assist in the preparation of yearly budgets and budget variance analysis
- Maintain accuracy of purchasing documents to ensure the terms and conditions of purchase are appropriate
- Maintain just in time level of inventory for employee supplies
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors
- Maintain MSDS and CFIA approvals for all purchases
- Working knowledge of MP2 (preventative maintenance system)
Qualification/Requirements
- Knowledge of maintenance parts used in manufacturing environment is essential
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work in high pressure situations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills are required (Word, Excel and Internet research skills)
- Integrity and professionalism
- Experience in purchasing an asset
- Proficiency in English spoken, writing, reading and comprehension is essential.
Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Salary:
$50,000.00 per year
