JOB OVERVIEW:


A Hotel Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for guests, and they are a key position in managing all aspects of our guest's experience and accommodations.

Hotel Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations, and providing information about rooms, rates, and amenities. You will have a role of a concierge and local guide for local attractions and events.

You will be comfortable handling small maintenance issues and responding to guest requests in the absence of the Operations Manager.

If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the hotel industry, we'd like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will help our team create a comfortable and memorable experience for guests while visiting Niagara Falls. Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings and overnights; weekend shifts are mandatory.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Ability to anticipate guests needs, remaining calm and courteous while displaying a positive Service Attitude.
  • Ability to work well under pressure within a team and independently
  • Previous guest service experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate in English clearly and pleasantly with guests/visitors, management, and coworkers to their understanding, both in person and by telephone.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Promote positive guest relations to all individuals in the lobby, at the front desk or on the phone.
  • Process all checkins and check outs according to established hotel requirements.
  • Set up accurate billing and credit for each guest checking in according to policy.
  • Follow front desk procedures and complete shift checklists
  • Handle guest complaints according company policy, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Process & document all guest charges, and settle room accounts and accounting procedures while at front desk
  • Adhere to company policies and employee handbook with regard to all employee relations, human resources, code of conduct etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School graduate
  • Ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to communicate in English clearly and pleasantly with guests/visitors, management, and coworkers to their understanding, both in person and by telephone.
  • Ability to provide legible communication and directions.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Some college or training in the hospitality industry.
  • Previous experience as a Guest Service Representative.
  • Previous cashiering experience.
  • Knowledge of computers.
  • Fluency in a foreign language.
