Job Title:
Purchaser

Location: 44160 Yale Road West, Chilliwack, BC

Job purpose:
This position's primary responsibilities are to purchase stock and maintain inventory levels.

Rate of Pay:
$30-$35/hr plus benefits (depending on training or experience)

Key Result Areas

Build meaningful, useful relationships with suppliers
Inventory levels are maintained well, and within budgets
Proactive and pragmatic purchasing based on seasonal needs

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Working within budgets, maintain inventory levels by purchasing and transferring in
Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions, award supplier contracts or recommend contract awards
Establish delivery schedules, monitor progress and contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems
Manage assembly orders and transfer orders

Competencies

Ability to identify areas for improvement and contribute potential solutions
Selfdriven, results oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on efficiency
Ability to set realistic goals and evaluate results
Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels of business
