Canadian Timberlands Finance Organization located in Edmonton, Alberta is looking for a Temporary Dues & Log Payment Specialist.

This is a 14 month temporary assignment, working in the department that provides support to all our Canadian Timberlands sites.


Key Functions:

This role includes tasks such as:

  • Updating monthly and quarterly dues rates
  • Maintain stratum and conversion tables in Log Inventory Management System (LIMS).
  • Ensuring government reporting requirements are accurately set up in LIMS.
  • Processing accruals and timely submission of dues payments
  • Monthly reconciliation of dues liability accounts
  • Contractor pay duties (AP & AR) for 1 Canadian division.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Highly motivated selfstarter who performs well in a team environment, providing a high degree of customer service
  • Critical thinker with strong problemsolving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, written, verbal)
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and takes pride in accuracy and quality of work.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong positive work ethic, excellent attendance
  • Ability to provide quick turnaround time and prioritize workload to meet required daily and weekly deadlines.
  • High degree of initiative
  • Ability to flow to work and collaborate well in a team environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Two Years Post-Secondary Education in Accounting/Finance
  • General accounts receivable and accounts payable knowledge
  • Relevant office experience
  • Knowledge of the Timberlands and/or Wood Products industry is a benefit
  • Knowledge of LIMS and SAP is a plus

Compensation:

This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $57,500 - $79,100 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience.

Employees are also eligible to enroll in the Retirement Savings Plan (Group RRSP).
