Brake/shear Operator - Oakville, Canada - Grizzly ASE
Description
Grizzly ASE is looking for a passionate Break and Shear Operator to join our ever-growing team.Responsibilities:
- Read production drawings to produce various configurations
- Cut, notch, and bend steel sheets according to specified production drawings and specifications
- Setup tooling on brake press for specific bend patterns
- Operate various equipment (shear press, punches and hydraulic brake press)
- Drill Press (vertical and radial)
- Usage of overhead cranes and material handling equipment a bonus/will be trained
- Follows safety procedures to insure safety for all involved.
- Adapts well to a busy manufacturing environment and able to complete priority tasks and multi task.
- Experience in an industrial capacity with a notable willingness to learn and develop new skills
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience with break and shear machines
- Valid forklift license (preferred)
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Willingness to work in a fastpaced, highlyproductive environment
