Job Description:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance work performed under the direct supervision of the Residential Services Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager or Shift Supervisor.
Must be able to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Recover and repair electrical and mechanical issues/errors on the material handling system
- Reset errors due to luggage, equipment, or operator
- Assist engineers with fault finding and maintenance activities
- Carry out maintenance, and cleaning of assets and surrounding areas
- Support activities with BEUMER Group products and system in response to customer requirements
- Monitor the performance of the material handling system
- Adhere to the various quality and reporting systems (CMMS System)
- Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements
- Provide adequate feedback and intelligence to BEUMER Group management
- Report spare parts usage. (CMMS System)
- Follow escalation procedures when needed
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Licensed Industrial Electrician 442A with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial facility working with baggage handling systems and/or automated systems in material handling industries, operations, and maintenance
- RAIC Security Clearance or the ability to obtain/maintain such clearance
- Strategy insight and comprehension
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills (English)
- Relevant system and product knowledge
- Experience with Highlevel control (SAC) an asset
- Experience working with PLC's and programming tools and asset
- Experience working with Field Profibus, and testtools an asset.
- Experience work with IT, network communication and asset.
- Competencies in objective analysis and development
- Proficient at using computers and working with maintenance software, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
