Your Focus in this Role:

Work with modern data platforms
Generate recurring reports on an established schedule and distribute to stakeholders
Conduct regular reviews of reports in publication and reassess business need
Work with departments within the organization to understand their business and enable effective solution design
Develop data solutions that provide missioncritical information to our internal customers
Design and develop data visualization solutions that present impactful information
Design and develop data engineering solutions (data virtualization, ETL/ELT) to make data available for a wide range of analytical uses
Lead workshops with internal customers to capture requirements and translate them into solution designs
Respond to adhoc data requests within the organization in a timely manner
Educate/train crossfunctional staff members on optimal use of systems and data solutions
Offer support by responding to data problems in a timely manner
Support the creation, review, and maintenance of framework, policy, and procedure documentation relating to Data Quality
Collaborate with corporate BI team to develop and implement a Data Governance process
Participate in project teams as required and collaborate as a team to deliver business outcomes
Proactively monitor and respond to database alerts or issues
Research technical problems, analyze business requirements, evaluate alternative design approaches and technical design processes to meet business requirements
Collaborate with Corporate BI team to design and implement conceptual, logical and physical data models to continue to evolve OEG Retail Cannabis database solutions

Education, Experience and Skills**:

3+ years of professional development experience;
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Commerce, or equivalent diploma;
Significant experience designing and implementing data visualization solutions in Power BI;
Significant fluency in SQL;
Experience working in a data warehousing function, including experience with data warehousing tools, technologies and approaches;
Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and AWS BI technologies is a strong asset;
Designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes is a strong asset;
