The Ventana's Special Projects team are happy to service projects across a wide range of markets, including but not limited to: Commercial, Industrial, Light Industrial, Retail, Tenant Improvements, I2, Healthcare, Transportation, and more.

However, primarily focus on projects in active or challenging environments, excelling in detailed pre-construction planning, sequencing, accelerated project deliveries, and keeping your business going while we build your future.

The Ventana's Special Projects team have come together from across the industry based on a commitment to excellence through service and creative (and collaborative) problem solving driven by a passion for a pragmatic, roundtable, "same team" approach to project planning and delivery.

Position Summary

As a Project Manager you will manage construction projects valued at over $30 million from a business perspective.

You will work closely with the Construction Superintendent throughout the construction process to deliver the best building and service possible for our clients.

You will be responsible for the on-time completion of a quality project, maximizing efficiency, controlling costs, and building relationships with every person involved in the project.

As a Project Manager your key accountabilities will involve:

Review documents, project drawings, contracts, and specifications in detail and inform the appropriate team about potential issues or conflicts.
Plan and manage daily operations and construction schedules while monitoring project progress.
Monitor expenditures effectively, review invoices in detail, and manage labour and material costs according to the project budget and underlying estimate.
Prepare contracts and confidently negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
Liaise with the project team, clients, consultants and subcontractors.
Train and mentor Project Coordinators.

As a Project Manager your experience and qualifications will include:

3-5 years of construction management experience, preferably with a general contractor.
Experience managing projects valued at over $30 million.
Experience with commercial, multifamily residential, and industrial construction.
Postsecondary education in Construction or Project Management
