Job Description:
Arcadis IBI Group Toronto office is searching for Mobility Technology and Electrification Specialists at any experience level, with a passion to build operations-driven technology solutions for shared mobility providers.
You will work in multi-disciplinary project teams including with other offices such as in Atlanta, Boston, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, and Vancouver.
Technology systems that we help design and deploy include:
- Zero emission vehicles (modelling, transition planning, charging infrastructure, and systems)
- Fare collection (such as open payment, smart cards, and mobile apps)
- Fleet tracking and operations management (getting buses out on the street and on schedule)
- Customer information (from trip planners to arrival predictions)
- On-Demand Shared Mobility (multimodal trip integration and microtransit)
- Business intelligence (data integration, warehouses, and analytics)
- Security (onboard and in facilities)
We help transit agencies and other shared mobility providers with work like:
- Identifying technology deployments that will improve operations and the customer experience
- Defining a vision for integrated technology and a sequence of projects to build for the transition
- Creating specifications and helping select contractors
- Guiding and managing the system implementation, including design review and testing
- Software development
Most of the things you'll work on:
- Planning shared mobility solutions, through tasks such as conducting needs assessments, leading stakeholder engagement, conducting needs assessments, identifying and evaluating alternatives, preparing schedule and cost estimates, and developing strategic plans
- Developing system specifications and procurement documents, then working with transit agencies to assess and select the best solutions
- Implementing solutions through tasks such as managing solution providers, reviewing designs, conducting testing, and providing expert guidance
- Working with colleagues across Arcadis IBI Group (including planning, data, software, engineering, and architecture professionals) to produce creative ideas and solutions
- Preparing project deliverables such as presentations, memos and reports
- Software development
- Leading business development pursuits, representing Arcadis IBI Group at industry events, and building partnerships
- Helping with proposal preparation to pursue new work
Qualifications:
You'll need to have:

Passion for improving transit and shared mobility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in an innovative, dynamic, and fast paced environment
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or Urban Planning with an emphasis on
Transportation: - Prior experience programming in
Python (or related languages) and/or
web UI development preferred
Ability to work at Toronto office and GTHA client sites when needed preferred

Ability to travel outside of GTHA, including across Canada and to USA when needed preferred (typically about 5% of time)
