  • While our employees work in offices within the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, they are employed by Ottawa Academic Cardiology Management Corporation._

Responsibilities:


To provide administrative support to several cardiologists in the Division of Cardiology with respect to their clinical, research and administrative responsibilities at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.


Basic requirements:


  • Diploma in Office Administration OR other combination of education and experience, along with demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent related administrative experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of computers, including MS Office, electronic mail, clinical information systems and ideally Pubmed, Adobe Pro and CCV software.

  • Able to take initiative, to meet deadlines, be flexible and work in a fastpaced environment.

Preferred qualifications:


  • Preferred knowledge and experience with hospital processes and policies, professional licensing bodies and granting agency requirements.
  • Advanced medical terminology.
  • Spoken and written French fluency is preferred.
