Description
We are looking for Plate Maker Assistant for our Scarborough Preprint location.

This position will be reporting to Graphic Project Manager, the Plate room assistant is responsible to support the Mounter/ Plate Maker for the process of platemaking


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Support the Plate maker to produce the plates.
  • Support to receive outsourced, and store designated area/box
  • Support the Plate maker to operate and maintain plate making equipment
  • Finds plates for specified job as scheduled, inspects them, and brings to Plate maker.
  • Removes used plates from cylinders and cleans them accordingly. Inspects them for signs of damage or wear and files plates for future retrieval and use.
  • Organize, monitor, clean all print plate and store.
  • Be responsible for plate room housekeeping duties
  • Maintain plate list and document all obsolete plates
  • Be responsible for keeping all work areas clean and disposing garbage
  • Participates in process improvement efforts and various production meetings to foster a positive creative impact on the business.
  • Follows production expectations and helps to settle any deadline conflicts
  • Ensures compliance with all safety and quality policies, procedures, and standards
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities:


  • Teamwork skills
  • Experience in manufacturing is desirable
  • Shift work and overtime may be required
  • Abel to lift up to 30lb
