Inc. is currently seeking a
Valve Technician in
Edmonton, AB.
Work Conditions:
- Work is primarily performed
indoors. - Monday to Friday, 8 hour days.
Qualifications:
-
2-3 years of valve testing / assembly or similar mechanical related experience:
-
Mechanically inclined:
-
Experience with Subsea products an asset:
- Able to read and understand drawings
- Oil and Gas industry experience is an asset
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and capable of working with mínimal supervision
- Solid work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- A commitment to workplace health and safety, environmental, and quality objectives
Responsibilities_**:
_
- Reporting to the Lead hand, the Valve Technician will provide quality workmanship on the assembly, fit, and install of prefabricated parts to form finished products while maintaining high standards of production, documentation and safety.
Primary Duties:
- Read and follow drawings, procedures and work instructions
- Assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts to form subassemblies or finished products
- Maintain accurate database and documentation
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Maintenance of equipment
- Record nonconformances as required
- Ensure all tools and equipment are calibrated and in good operating condition
- Calibrate, function test, and trouble shoot choke valves, and a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric positioners and actuation
- Actively support and comply with corporate programs, standards, and policies, including health & safety, quality and environmental programs
