POSITION:
Production Manager (Grains Division)
REPORTS TO:Director of Operations


We are looking for a Production Manager (Grains Division) to join our One Degree Organics team in Abbotsford Our Production Manager is responsible for managing the day-today activities of the Grains division, which covers flour milling, sprouting and drying lines and the granola & flavored Oats baking line.

This position will involve working across multiple production facilities in Abbotsford.

  • You have at least 4 years of experience as a supervisor/manager in a manufacturing facility (Food preferred)
  • You are a peoplefocused leader with a track record of growing and coaching staff
  • You have experience with "Just in Time' inventory control

  • You have experience working in a food manufacturing facility within similar product categories

THINGS YOU WILL DO

  • Manage all aspects of personnel scheduling, planning schedules and communicating with operators and managing time sheets
  • Responsible for hiring and dismissals within the production team
  • Manage just in time inventory of all ingredients and packaging for all products, creating daily orders of appropriate ingredients from the warehouse
  • Manage the production scheduling, including coordinating with supervisors to know availability of loads, coordinating cross functionally with sales and procurement, planning daily production goals and managing inventory
  • Maximizing production throughout by coordinating with management, setting targets for improvements and tracking numbers on each shift
  • Ensuring quality is monitored by liasing with QA team and managing training with internal staff members
  • Planning and scheduling sanitation, including verification of sanitation duties and coordinating success rate with QA
