Job Summary:


As Scientific Coordinator in Laboratory Sciences for our Ville Saint-Laurent site, you will coordinate day-to-day activities to optimize the efficiency of the department.


In this role, key responsibilities may include:

  • Monitor costs associated with studies, identify potential problems and take corrective action in a timely manner while ensuring that every aspect of the work is performed in accordance with the study contract.
  • Create and participate in financial reviews, track and monitor key performance indicators when required.
  • May be called upon to plan and/or develop the activities of scientific staff (if necessary).
  • Perform any other related task, as assigned (for example: financial discounts, various projects when required, followup of studies with monthly billing, followup of contract change requests, followup with scientists for several tasks, schedule to be long term, etc).
  • Be a resource person for all division staff, assist the manager when necessary and ensure good inter/intra departmental as well as interdivisional communication.

Key Elements:

The minimum requirements for the position of Scientific Coordinator in Laboratory Sciences are:

  • Education: DEC or/or AEC or/or B.Sc. or/or related field.
  • Experience: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered an acceptable substitute for specific education and experience as listed above.
  • Demonstrate teamwork skills, a positive attitude, good interpersonal skills and professionalism. Adapt to changes. Actively participate in department meetings to improve performance and quality.
