SALARY RANGE:
$55,000-$83,000 - commensurate with education and experience

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You support the management of environmental remediation projects and ensure that they are running efficiently and effectively.

Reporting to the Project Manager, and working closely with technicians, you play a key role to support project planning, scheduling, allocation of personnel and resources, and budgeting.

You monitor and drive efficient and effective project activity, maintain project scope, and provide logístical oversight of task implementation for your team.


JOB DUTIES

  • Coordinate and/or complete monitoring and collection of groundwater samples utilizing a wide variety of equipment
  • Coordinate and/or complete collection of soil samples during drilling, test pitting and excavation activities
  • Coordinate the work of drillers and other contractors
  • Operation of various types of field monitoring equipment (e.g. hand augers, handheld XRF, GPS, data loggers, survey level, combustible gas meters, etc.)
  • Completion of field documentation such as project field reports, field notes, borehole logs, and laboratory chainofcustody forms
  • Assist with report writing
  • Completes all work accuracy and without errors and omissions
  • Performs others technical tasks and duties as required, to achieve project completion
  • Complete equipment calibration, maintenance, and repair
  • Provide technical support and mentoring for junior field staff, as required
  • Regular communication with staff, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and review reports, maps, drawings, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
  • Coordinate field investigations to acquire appropriate data, while ensuring compliance with all health, safety and government regulations.
  • Support technical reviews and provide recommendations regarding designs and reports prepared by consulting engineers.
  • Responsibilities include scheduling, allocation of personnel and resources, supervision of project personnel
  • Collects and analyses data and makes interpretation and conclusions
  • Responsible for the health and safety of any Cambium staff working on a project
  • Responsible for providing training and technical guidance to junior and intermediate Cambium personnel
  • Travel is required
  • Field work is required
  • Hours above 35 hours per week may be required during peak times and overtime may be required in all seasons
