Position Summary:
Hatch is seeking a Systems EIT in their Rail Systems Practice with an interest in Train Control systems and related Electrical and Communications technologies.
The Systems EIT will support projects globally out of our Mississauga location, with an initial focus on Toronto's Union Station Resignalling and the GO Transit Train Control System, executed from our Bay Street office.
You will:
- Be given opportunities to contribute to complex, safety critical Train Control Systems projects around the world
- Work on problems and gain experience in the office and on project sites

Responsibilities:
- Assist with technical design and engineering
- Coordination with specialists and engineers and related disciplines to produce integrated design deliverables
- Assistance of senior engineers and designers as and when needed
- Contribute to overall needs for project completion.
Education and Experience:
- Must be working towards graduating in 2023, or recently graduated, with an Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, or Systems Engineering degree from an accredited university.
- In good academic standing
- Interested in Rail Systems engineering as a career; Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, and MicroStation an asset
- Extracurricular involvement is considered an asset
- Knowledge or summer student experience in a consultancy environment undertaking infrastructure projects, will be an asset
- Ability to work in a team environment with multidisciplinary interaction
