Flair Airlines is currently seeking a permanent, full-time
, Inflight Operations Support Lead, to join our growing and ever-changing organization.

The Inflight Operations Support Lead will be based out of Vancouver, BC (YVR) and some travel may be required.


Reporting to the Manager, Inflight Operations (West), the Inflight Operations Support Lead provides day to day support and monitoring of Flight Attendants, and supports all aspects of safety, operational performance, labour issues and other applicable items.

In addition, the Inflight Operations Support Lead will assist and support the operation with any administrative services while contributing to OTP and a safe operation.


Primary Job Functions:

The duties of the Inflight Operations Support Lead
include:

  • Review and compile Inflight daily/weekly delay coding data
  • Follow up on daytoday delays and cancellations to determine root causes
  • Provide with gate and crew support
  • Follow up on questions, day to day issues and concerns in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the administration of the company documents for Inflight (RAIC /Parking Pass)
  • Assist Inflight Managers with correspondence and confidential matters
  • Liaise with various departments on behalf of Inflight Services
  • Assist in planning and scheduling of Townhall meetings
  • Compile and report OTP reports to the Inflight Operations Managers on trends and issues that may require additional follow up and participate in OTP improvement initiatives
  • Assist in the onboarding of new hire Flight Attendants
  • Manage all Inflight Reports. Categorize reports, initiate investigations, and provide responses to Flight Attendants as required
  • Follow up on Flight Attendant absences in the region
  • Provide absenteeism reports to the Inflight Operations Managers on trends and issues that may require additional follow up
  • Assist in the returntowork Process for Flight Attendants returning to work
  • Liaise with Inflight business units to ensure sufficient stock levels of required materials
  • Initiate passenger complaint and crew conflict investigations
  • Liaise with uniform provider regarding Flight Attendant uniform issues; provide support to Flight Attendants with respect to uniform issues
  • Manage and respond to routine Flight Attendant requests
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager, Inflight Operations

Safety Duties, Accountabilities, Authorities and Responsibilities:

  • Support the SMS program through participation and reporting
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of risk assessments and corrective action plans as directed.

Educational Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:


  • Education: Postsecondary education preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in aviation
  • Operational experience in an aviation company with similar role an asset
  • Previous experience working as a Flight Attendant is an asset
  • Attention to detail and evidence of strong organizational skills
  • Solid administrative skills
  • High degree of interpersonal skills
  • Advanced skills in Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of software/systems: NavBlue, considered an asset
  • Professionalism and ability to deal with highly sensitive information
  • Problem solving and analytical Skills
  • Selfmotivated and resourceful
  • Strong multitasking and teamwork skills
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience working in a mixed union and nonunion environment
  • Ability to multitask

Working Conditions:

The incumbent will work primarily in an office environment, with regular travel required to meet operational needs. Line flying as required.
