We are a growing organization and currently looking for a passionate and motivated
Dispatch Planner to join our winning team.

***The Dispatch Planner is responsible for maintaining and managing trailer pools to meet operational requirements. It is important for the Dispatch Planner to forecast and anticipate upcoming challenges with trailer availability. The Dispatch Planner is also responsible in assisting operations and Fleet maintenance to ensure trailer records are updated timely and trailers are available when needed.

This role will work directly with Operations and Fleet Maintenance to provide ongoing support to ensure continuous improvements with trailer planning.

Contract Position for 12 months

Shift:
Monday to Friday - 4 pm to 12 am

Supervisor, Dispatch

Office/Facility:
Derwent Facility - Delta BC

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads and promotes a culture where Health & Safety in the #1 priority
Develop a plan, prioritize and schedule trailer maintenance and availability in coordination with operational needs
Work within Truckmate, Tableau and TK tracking to maintain trailer records
Manage all trailer pools (correct allotments for customer needs)
Review all yard checks and confirm empty and loaded trailers
Advise Dispatch and Fleet Maintenance of any appending issues
Work with Operations managers on improving operational processes to enhance capabilities to meet/exceed fleet and operations service standards
Help implement proactive measures
Be a key contributor in the development of new process
Lead the reporting of current and future KPI's within the Tableau Trailer Utilization
Other duties may be assigned as required

KEY REQUIREMENTS

2+ years experience working with TruckMate
Experience with Crystal Reports preferred
Experience with Tableau preferred
Knowledge of trailer reefer equipment
Knowledge of dispatch/planning
Approachable, positive demeanor with a handson and teamoriented work style
Analytical; logical thinker with the ability to think two steps ahead and successfully analyze different pieces of information and put the together like a puzzle
Driven to provide exceptional customer service
Embraces change and has a continuous improvement philosophy
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proven analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to quickly understand, identify issues and implement solutions
Proven ability to effectively prioritize work flow to ensure deadlines are met. Able to adapt to shifting priorities
Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, conflict resolution and team building abilities
Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude with handson and teamoriented work style
