Core Purpose and Essence of the Position
Supervise warehousing operations and administration within the receiving inbound Operations and control a group of Team Leads, Warehouse Operators and Material Handler to exceed client expectations and requirements on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervise and implement day to day facility operations and administration
- Responsible for the supervision and training of all Team Leads, Warehouse Operators and Material Handler to work towards a fully cross functional and trained staff
- Ensure that warehouse functions of the operation perform in a manner consistent with company procedures and objectives and exceed client expectations
- Ensure all staff are provided sufficient training to achieve goals set out by the Company
- Hold associates accountable to Company and Client expectations
- Supervise and coordinate smooth, timely and accurate unloading and receiving of inbound shipments, loading and dispatch of outbound shipments.
- Work closely with fellow management team to coordinate effective carrier scheduling
- Thorough understanding and supervision of all warehouse Inbound and outbound process flows
- Comply with Quality System requirements as related to supervisory duties.
- Retain a paradigm of exceeding KPI expectations and goals
- Schedule labour in strict accordance with operational requirements, strive to reduce overtime and temporary labor at all times
- Operate with a Client first paradigm and ensure all client requests and expectations are effectively and promptly met, and in keeping with the contract.
- Approve Associates' timecards and verify all team warehousing paperwork and documentation, and ensure transaction accuracy and data integrity
- Keep all information and visual aids updated on notice boards and in the work area.
- Ensure that all material handling equipment (Forklifts, Battery Chargers, etc.) is properly cared for, maintained, checked and documented, and handled with utmost care and safety.
- Ensure all staff comply with all Safety expectations set out by Company policy.
- Ensure that care is exercised in the use and upkeep of all other warehouse equipment,warehouse fixtures, personal gear, workspaces and work stations.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety, housekeeping and 5S, and retain a clean, safe and secure work area.
- Conduct daily briefings for the team, both at commencement and close of business.
- Responsible for the security of the warehouse or area so assigned.
- Be prepared to provide billing reports as needed.
- Serve as a fill in supervisor during the absence of other supervisors.
- Understanding and experience of Accident Investigation Analysis and Follow up

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Four (4) years of work experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position may require extended periods of standing and walking for up to 70% of the time
The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and
there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally
performed within a warehouse environment, with standard warehouse material moving machines
available.
