We currently have a
Regular Full-Time opportunity for a
Social Worker in the
Veterans Centre Department at our
Bayview Campus.

**Hours of Work: Weekdays:
Days; 8 hrs; As per schedule

Summary of Duties

Qualifications/Skills

Masters Degree in Social Work
Member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
Experience working in a health care setting (preferably 2 years); geriatric / elder care and end of life experience preferred
Experience with the health care system, discharge planning and community resources
Cognitive support experience required
Excellent assessment, interviewing and problem solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication, mediation, time management and organizational skills
Strong team building skills
Superior ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities in a fastpaced environment
Familiarity with issues of capacity and consent
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Ability to be a team player as well as selfdirected
Commitment to person centred care
Commitment to student education
