The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the Human Resource Department including recruitment, processing payroll, administering benefits and other administrative tasks.

You will be the primary point of contact and liaison with the company's third-party payroll processor.

Reporting into the Head of HR, you will ensure the completion of tasks in an efficient and timely manner and will quickly develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the internal policies and procedures to handle enquiries effectively and work with designated systems and processes.


Responsibilities:


  • Process semimonthly payroll accurately and timely for all employees
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and yearend payroll statements
  • Provide payroll expertise to the team (tax, best practices, legislations)
  • Benefits administration and system maintenance, including enrollments, member terminations and processing life event changes
  • Assist with the creation and filing of Records of Employment (ROEs) and end of year T4 slips and T2200 forms
  • Create job postings and advertisements on various hiring sites
  • Schedule interviews and design interview questions and other materials
  • Manages and maintains HRIS, ensuring proper recording keeping for all employees and providing technical assistance when necessary
  • Work closely with the Head of HR, management and employees on engagement, morale and overall productivity
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience in Payroll and Recruitment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Prior experience using ADP is a must
  • Fundamental knowledge of payroll administration practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of the various provincial Employment Standards Act (ESA), Health & Safety & WSIB.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Keen to learn and continuously improve

Nice to have:

  • Experience within the iGaming industry

Salary:
$60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
