    Community Disability Support Workers _in the Edmonton area for varying shifts, including days, evenings and weekends. Driving is a requirement for some shifts._
- *$15/Hour Start Wage*_


The
Community Disability Support Worker (CSW) is a critical front-line support position that works directly with our clients who are individuals with disabilities.


As a key member of our team, you will be assisting clients with quality-of-life support in areas such as: daily living, recreation and leisure and community inclusion.


You will deliver a supportive model for our individuals to achieve their full potential in employment, community, social, residential environments, and life pursuits.


We are looking for someone who is patient, kind, trustworthy, mature, empathetic, and caring in nature as well as a good communicator.

This position does require the caregiver to drive so you will require a valid drivers license, registration and vehicle insurance with $1M liability.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide assistance and care for individuals to achieve full potential in employment, community, social, residential environments and life pursuits.
  • Ensure individuals are satisfied and daily needs are met.
  • Attend/Follow up with medical appointments as designated by team leader
  • Ensure home maintenance e.g. cleaning, laundry, decorating, etc. is completed while encouraging individuals to participate to their fullest ability.
  • Assist individuals to discover and participate in leisure time activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of a high school diploma and experience with complex behaviors is an asset.
  • All Entrust employees must clear a
    Criminal Background Check, Child and Youth Intervention Record Check, and have First Aid/CPR.
