Description
***: Performs all duties related to shipping and receiving material (finished goods, raw and packaging material, miscellaneous items); maintain a safe and healthy workplace; ensuring that all food safety protocols and systems are maintained; provide suggestion for improving the effectiveness of the distribution centre.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK PERFORMED:


  • Load all trucks and shipping containers
  • Pick Finished goods as per sales order
  • Pick raw and packaging material as per transfer order
  • Conduct daily cycle counts
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Comply with all Health and Safety policies
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Basic verbal and written English language skills
  • Ability to follow verbal English instructions required, ability to follow written instructions
  • Ability to accurately complete reports and check sheets
  • Licensed to operate a narrow isle Reach truck and rideonwalkie

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 6 months experience in a distribution centre/warehouse or industrial setting

EFFORT REQUIRED

  • Constant standing; some bending
  • Manual dexterity required, and handling objects weighing 25 to 30 lbs

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


  • Minimum oneyear leadership experience in a food manufacturing facility
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees

WORKING CONDITIONS:


  • Work in a standard warehouse environment, which includes refrigerated, frozen and ambient temperatures
  • Fast paced environment with moving equipment
