Accounts Receivable Team Lead


The Team Lead, Accounts Receivable is a back-up to the Manager, Billing & Collection, responsible for managing and guiding a team of A/R administrators who is accountable for processing invoices and responding to customer inquiries regarding their accounts.


In addition to managing the day-to-day activities of the Billing team, they are also expected to challenge the end-to-end 'invoice to cash' process and drive continuous improvement to optimize the process and improve speed to cash.


Here's what you will do as a Accounts Receivable Team Lead:

  • Assist the Billing and Collections Manager with day-to-day billing activity, ensuring timeliness and completeness of all billing streams across all Business Units.
  • Lead, coach, develop and retain a team of 45 Billing specialist, and hold team accountable.
  • Champion of continuous process improvement for Invoicing workflow to improve efficiency, effectiveness and quality of services
  • Work with internal business partners and/or external customers to deliver timely and accurate invoices that meet customer requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze billing operational metrics, including ratio, trend and other KPI, to identify and drive efficiency improvement and/or corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain documented workflows and processes in accordance with internal controls for OrdertoCash and Invoicing workflows and processes.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual audits.
  • Back up to the Billing & Collection Manager and provide support as needed.
  • Perform Ad hoc tasks as assigned or requested.
