The Relief Program Worker is responsible for maintaining a high-quality service, in accordance with the Mission and policies of YWCA Toronto and the needs of women, gender diverse people and their children who have experienced or are experiencing abuse/violence in their lives, through direct program delivery and administration.

We offer a range of housing options, employment and training programs, community support programs, girls' programs and family programs. We also engage in systemic advocacy.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with all members of the Breakthrough team to plan and implement service delivery;
- Facilitates up to two support/ educational/counselling group sessions weekly;
- Participates in developing and maintaining an uptodate list of program referral sources, reflecting the inclusiveness of communities in Greater Toronto;
- Provides telephone crisis counselling in response to phone messages;
- Provides shortterm practical counselling, crisis counselling, problem solving and makes referrals for therapy when needed;
- Maintains records, prepares and maintains individual participant's files including: progress reports, compiles program statistics, prepares annual program report and reports as required by funders and carries out other administrative tasks as required;
- Assists the Manager in setting the goals and objectives for the program.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 13 years' experience in counselling and group work with women who have experienced or are experiencing abuse/violence;
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to integrate expressive arts into group service delivery.
