    Climate Change Global Action Network Partnership Project

    This Global Climate Group Scanning and Mapping work will provide an extensive scan and mapping of global initiatives, NGOs, and organizations whose primary focus is climate change.

    The work will include creating a data schema for focus areas, impacts, projects of these organizations, funding models etc., collecting appropriate data, and building an interactive knowledge map.

    The research will inform the Global Climate Action Network Project.

    The interactive map will be open source to provide a platform for AI researchers to explore and find potential collaborators to advance the Project.

    This role requires experience in data modeling, collection, and research as well as an understanding of climate change and AI applications for climate change.

    This work will be delivered by two Research Analysts on a part-time basis over a period of approximately 10-weeks from May 27, 2024 – August 2, 2024.

    The Research Analysts will be contracted to deliver a scan of all the organizations globally, in-depth research and data collection, synthesize results, and build an interactive map as a tool.


    Research and Data Collection:
    Develop and implement a standardized data schema for cataloging their focus areas, impacts, projects, and funding models.
    Collect, clean, and organize data to ensure accuracy and relevance.
    Construct an interactive map utilizing a knowledge graph to represent collected data visually.

    Synthesize research findings into a detailed synthesis report.
    Prepare a comprehensive report and presentation that encapsulates all analyses and findings.
    Excellence in research and strategic insight development.
    Depth and comprehensiveness of research and data collection.
    Quality and impact of analytical reports and presentations.
    Adherence to project milestones and deadlines.

    Currently pursuing or has completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Business Analysis, or a related field.

    Demonstrated experience in research, analysis, or a related area.
    Proficient in data collection, data analysis, and report writing.
    Excellent communication skills with fluency in both written and verbal English.
    Proficiency in multiple languages would be an asset.
    Knowledge of climate change organizations and experience with knowledge graphs is desirable.
