Temporary Full Time position, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, 35 hours per week, flexible hours required.

CVS is a small, values-based, social profit agency providing services to adults with diverse abilities and children & youth with special needs.

The Employment Specialist supports individuals in seeking economic and social inclusion in the community by participating in supported and customized employment in the community.

The position works closely with the individual to build personal capacity to engage in paid work. The position collaborates with family and support networks to create the conditions for sustainable employment.

Your duties may include:

Supporting individuals to find and retain paid employment
Teaching life skills aligned with personal and employment goals
Supporting and encouraging independence and selfdetermination
Facilitating relationships between the individual and employer
Teaching and facilitating effective communication

Our requirements:

Passion for working with people and positive attitude
13 years in a related field required
Diploma in social services or related field and asset
Experience with supported employment and customized employment
Reliable car (w/ business insurance) and First Aid and CPR certificate
Some education and/ or experience working with people who have developmental disabilities
