About the role:

The Project Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and innovative tech organization with an international reach.

Calian, Advanced Technologies is looking for an experienced Project Manager to own the planning, execution, and reporting for technical projects within our satellite communications domain.

You will manage a team of software developers and systems engineers that provide innovative solutions to the world's leading satellite operators.

To be successful, you must thrive in a dynamic environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or multiple priorities. You will need to anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

You will create detailed project plans, work structure breakdowns, and resource allocation plans while adhering to current innovation and quality standards. This includes outlining the scope through detailed budgets, schedules, and milestones
You will act as the main point of contact for clients by interacting effectively regarding timelines, budgets, objectives, and expectations while professionally maintaining client relationships
You will work to identify and resolve any barriers or obstacles that impact the project's success
You will effectively create and maintain professional relationships with crossfunctional departments and managers to achieve project objectives and milestones
You will manage a team of talented software developers and system engineers. These engineers/designers will report to you for the project purposes

The Skills and Experience You Have:

Post-secondary education in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical related field
3+ years of experience leading engineering projects that are delivered on a budget, with tight schedules, and managing deliverables from multiple teams
Experience engaging with customers, managing customer expectations, and demonstrated pragmatic decisionmaking
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking with a demonstrated ability to selfmotivate and follow through on projects
Experience in software development and Agile project management is not required but considered an asset
You will have the ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
